The Lutheran church in Bethlehem recently put out their variation of this year's nativity scene -- baby Jesus swaddled in a kaffiyeh, lying amid the rubble of a building in Gaza.
I can't imagine having to live each day in a war zone wondering how to eat, get water to drink and wash, where to sit or sleep and never feeling safe. The horror of war is unrelenting and indescribable. I pray we will all be free of it one day soon.
The God of my understanding is a loving and forgiving God who's not responsible for war. That's somebody else. If there's a Satan or anything like him, that's his doing. God works with the doctors in the hospitals(whatever's left of them) and comforts the hostages. Still, they already killed Jesus once, if he comes back to judge the quick and the dead, they'll probably kill him again.
Thank you for this song.

If only there were enough will power from all to do something. Thank you.
