The "Left" has been compromised by its elitism and cancel culture. You can't trust that they will actually stand with you when the going gets tough. This became obvious when Media Benjamin would not speak or stand on stage at an anti-war rally with libertarians because her supporters might be affected. Media's reputation might be effected by association with the conservative members of an anti-war movement. If you can't stand for something that you believe in because you might be seen as collaborating with someone who agrees with you on that issue but not on another, you are useless to a real movement. The main stream media uses popular activist to maintain the narrative of difference in the political system, when there is little.
