I certainly am provoked to hate the slaughter of babies and children and innocent women and men of all ages who are being ethnically cleansed, chased out of Gaza with bombs and forced to flea to “safety” in Rafah, where they are now being bombed there, and starved to death by those who have openly pronounced intention to deprive them of food, water, fuel and electricity. I wish only peace for all and that the genocide will stop and our US tax dollars will cease supplying arms to Israel to carry on such atrocities.
David Rovics has been following and reporting history in song for decades and from my experience, those songs have always sprung from his keen observation of current events and have always been accurate accounts. It is hard, Ms. Caroline, to be reminded of these disturbing facts. But Mr.Rovics, being Jewish himself, writes and sings out of a love for all humanity and a profound desire for Justice and I speculate that he might believe that by bringing public attention to some of our grave mistakes and tragic errors, we might all be better off.
It is difficult to speculate how anyone can profit by suppression of truth.
