My old friend Robert Hoyt -- singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, organizer, nurse, father, lover of the wild -- died on the morning of February 1st, 2023, at the age of 68.
I just met Robert in the last couple years of his life as part of “Save Hoosier National Forest “. I love hearing and reading about Roberts early days. As you said, he was very quiet about his past, but was always an amazing person whenever in his life you met him. God bless you Robert, we will see you again on another great hike in the forest.
