we do commonly call this an irony, but in so many ways it's more a consequence, both of u.s. foreign policy, and especially of the nazi holocaust. one holocaust to fuel another one. it's a consequence, but maybe an ironic consequence. or maybe just a consequence. the bullied often grow up to be bullies, not defenders of the bullied.
