Capitalism is a Darwinian system. That is to say it is based on a "survival of the fittest" concept. The participants in the system are competing for rare resources. The one who acquires the most is the one who decides how the resources are to be used. We must assume in most cases the "winner" will use the resources for their own benefit.
Regardless of how one feels about Capitalism, we must see it as the best method available world wide to grow an economy fast. Just look at China and their "Socialism, Chinese style". We also must realize that a system like capitalism, left unchecked, will destroy the world through consumption of all raw material.It will consume itself out of existence and we will become one of the many societies that have come before us and not survived.
