Hi Dave, thanks for your views. It is of course a particular phenomena how so many are taken in by the extreme exceptionalism of the Israeli far right regime, - that the Nazi Holocaust etc justifies virtually any inhumane crimes committed by this supremacist state. Dylan has not been particularly Jewish in his life, converting to a brand of Christianity, yet clearly supports Israel (he has been a Democrat Party supporter for some time), unless he states otherwise. Back in the '60s he knew Meir Kahane, an extreme Zionist, who was his manager Albert Grossman's rabbi. Norman Finkelstein has written about this phenomena in his book 'The Holocaust Industry; Reflections on the Exploitation of Jewish Suffering'. The Zionist have ludicrously called Finkelstein an anti-Semite, as have been many others who challenged Zionist gangsters like Netanyahu.

i'm a big fan of finkelstein. as for dylan not being "jewish" -- i'm guessing you're not jewish in any sense, is that right? the question of jewishness is very complex, and has very little to do with religion. but dylan was/is extremely familiar with the religion (i've read biographies of dylan too). but again, that has nothing or little to do with jewish identity for most jews that i know of. jewishness is primarily a tribal identity. no need to believe in god in order to be an israeli citizen or to be killed in hitler's gas chambers.
