Greetings from Liverpool (the real one UK) and sorry that you, along with so many others who don’t deserve it, have become a victim of false accusations of antisemitism.

When I first met you, in the basement of the Liverpool Everyman, many, many years ago, I (knowing SFA about the politics of Israel and Palestine despite having been there twice) argued with you about your support for Palestine, but it got me thinking and reading and discussing and I changed my mind completely.

I saw how monstrous was the land theft and the murder, torture and wrongful imprisonment in pursuit of that theft of Palestinian land.

I have since been on every demonstration that I could possibly get to, including yesterday’s national protest in Liverpool, where thousands and thousands of us demanded an end to the genocide, and a ceasefire now.

Canada, with its own history of genocide of indigenous people, and the theft of their land, should be first in line to regret its own past and call for an end to the murder, rape, maiming, land theft and dehumanisation of Palestine and its people. Shame on the powers that be, there.

Solidarity, and I hope you get some really good gigs soon

Glad you took the opportunity to criticize censorship of protests and raising awareness of the crime of genocide. Imagine a society where one has to protest genocide and then getting cancelled! It does illuminate how the settler colonial state is organized to pretend its primary export isn’t apartheid from it’s ill gotten wealth via the doctrine of discovery.

Well, there are constant attempts by trans activists to cancel feminists speaking on Vancouver Island up to this month. Sometimes they are successful, sometimes they are not. Check out Meghan Murphy on Substack for more info.

Canadians are a very weak bunch these days. As a Canadian I disdain at how weak my fellow citizens are in the 2020s. For the most part we love to work for government in cushy jobs (25% of the population) and are not like the two Olympians from British Columbia who won the Hammer Throw golds (men and women).

Take care David. Wish you the best.
