and how do we know for sure that the "accidental invite" wasn't to show the public a rehearsed group chat? to make us THINK they are actually delusional and don't know what it is they do? how do we know this "they actually think Europe is taking advantage of them" narrative isn't meant to distract us from the very real and open fact that our top leaders are bought and paid for by top Russian officials who stand to gain from a reputation of unintelligent American rulers?

Just asking questions

if our top leaders are bought and paid for by a foreign power then it is obviously israel, not russia. but yeah, we never know for sure. perhaps they invited a journalist on to the chat because they wanted someone to call the houthis to warn them the attack was coming? i just assume that that's probably not the case, but i may be wrong!

I really thought you were going to comment on the fact that this Signal chat was the big news, and the fact that it was about plans to bomb the Houthis was downplayed or ignored by the media.

Seems to me that the group surrounding Trump and Trump himself are just a bunch of power brokers that feel that this is their last chance to adjust the world order permanently more to their and their kind’s interests. I don’t know if they really believe the narratives, but I don’t think they care much about them. The world order was slipping away, and they don’t like that. I think you could say that about much of the American people. For the people, the global power aspects of the world order are less important than the personal economic and social aspects.

Framing history in class battles is a good way to counter the propaganda, David. Good job! I think the class battles are obviously still raging, but I’m thinking that global shifts are now well under way and can’t be stopped, even by massive military operations. The powers that be here and elsewhere feel this, and they’ll battle to keep their power, but I think it’s very fluid and anything can happen.

We anarchists may be the ones with the best view going forward. The fact that the powers that be and even intellectuals think that anarchists are the enemy and are just violent disrupters shows they don’t know a thing about political anarchy. Our best bet is to continue to work in our communities (and worldwide like you) to make life better and more beautiful and as much as possible, ignore the bastards that run the national and corporate machines. Good luck to you on your tour, and keep writing!!

Thank you! You are so right about the necessity of music. I never knew the story of St. Patrick’s Battalion.
