On Hearing Of The Unprovoked US & Israeli Attack Against Iran
Yesterday, as we drove to Quebec City in a grey drizzle,
News was broadcast of the unprovoked attack on Iran
And I thought of Xerxes and his grand Armada descending
On the Athenians and how over the days and months
That followed rumours gradually arrived home of the total
Exhaustion and defeat of the Imperial forces.
