The interview was informative as to content, but the person doing the questioning showed a grave lack of knowledge on topics he brought up. The most glaring is the discussion of general strikes. He should have known that a general strike is unlawful Federally. Why suggest it as a tactic? You might as well recommend the hungry go rob a grocery store. thank you, stevan. i'd say a tactic like a general strike is a great idea, even tho it's illegal, but it's only a great idea if we're in a position to stay on strike, face repression, massacres, prison, etc., and then continue to stay on strike until we win all our demands. otherwise it's a very, very bad and self-destructive tactic. it's an all-or-nothing tactic, in the context of the usa and the taft-hartley act.
